Persuading people to do things has been a recurring problem for me and I believe it is an important skill in becoming more of a leader, gaining social proof, and becoming a more attractive man.

I know that leading isn't all about convincing people through words, but also through example. However, I could use some more tips on how to lead so that people will want to follow.

My understanding is this:

  • Be passionate about what you are talking about.

  • Using commands rather than questions. I'm not sure if this is a good tactic in a group setting. It's possible nobody responds and it just looks like a crash and burn

  • Have humility and let others make decisions sometimes.

Armed with this knowledge I still have plenty of fails where nobody will follow. So seddit, what are some of your tips to improve leadership and persuasion skills?
