No. Being fat as a guy is similar to being fat as a chick, if anything.

The only people who care if you're skinny as a guy are other guys. It's really all about fitness, whether your BMI is 19 or 29.

In general, however, remember that guys respond to visual cues. We care a lot how girls look in our eyes - 90% is visual. The other 10% is how the girl acts, what she says, etc.

It's the opposite for women. Girls respond to behavioral cues. They care 90% about how you act - is he the real deal, is he confident, fun, what is he communicating through his actions? The other 10% is looks - good looking face, fit, healthy weight, well-dressed, etc.

Being under or overweight is just a small fraction of a factor that's already small. Will it help to be the ideal weight? Yeah. Is it worth your time? Highly unlikely.

Where there's a prevailing "model" of the human body, there will always be a segregation for those that go against that model. I've met and dated some girls that are more into the skinny type, like myself, but they haven't denied that they wouldn't mind some muscle in their males. So I'd say someone has to be the "fat chick" in each society and gender, skinny guys got the lower end this time, maybe someday it will change, but no use in complaining, us skinny folk will just have to do with our charming personalities, or you could also try and change your physique if yu so desire, I digress.

I'm 5'10" and 140 pounds. I get called skinny until I take my shirt off. The average guy is just fat.
