A country that treats its men the way that Ukraine has treated them doesn't deserve a single one of those men fighting and dying for it.

The comical thing is how these things are completely ignored in the public and media.

On the other hand lots of how heroically they are defending this and how "the russians" and "the ukrainians" blabla as if the expandable resource called men society feels entitled to is actually part of the decision.

This is how actual systemic sexism looks like. An insistent brainwashing repeating a psychotic narrative that is inherently evil and dishonest but required for the system fueled by the discriminatory abuse to function. Any deviation from that line will be squashed.

If you are a russian or ukranian soldier (which will be men), the thing about all of this is that once this is over best you can hope for is to be forgotten about and rot at home unemployed or near unemployable, maybe the idea of you will serve as a stepping stone for other people. Things like multi-millionaire politicians wearing the finest of suits and eating expansively while traveling around with private jets spending an afternoon at some event where they unveil a this-and-that-monument that will be tied loosely to you. It will of course have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars/euros/whatever and been contracted by the women-against-war group. Which is some sort of state subsidized day care center for "female artists". As you stand there staring at the stone monolith watching the politicians congratulate each other and the "journalists" ask fake pre-agreed upon questions, you of course feel less bad about not being able to pay the rent next month. At least some "artist" made it big.

If you are more unlucky of course you will get the good old getting literally spat on when you come back. Being called all things under the sun - from murderer to worse, because it was totally your idea to go to the front and you absolutely made the decision, then watch some students write papers about what really happened at the ivy league university their mum and dad paid for, who for some reason must have just missed the draft. Probably really wanted to go, but had been to busy producing said student in an overseas business trip.

Bonus points then for people tearing down the statues eventually though. Gotta get rid of problematique pasts regardless of context, or just create new context.

Just for a moment imagine a world in which society is no longer entitle to the lives of their man. Bring the equality, no wonder the system is terrified of current trends.
