Don't ask when a girl is free. Instead, suggest a time and place when you're free (e.g. "How does coffee at %place on %date at %time sound?"). If she's free and wants to see you, she'll say yes, if she's not free and wants to see you, she'll suggest an alternative time, and if she says anything else, she doesn't want to see you.

Don't ask for advice if you don't actually want to change anything about yourself to get results. You're conjuring up a ridiculously unlikely hypothetical scenario instead of just trying this method.

That's you rationalizing the whole thing.
It does make sense, as you maintain frame this way. Leaving it in her court is not maintaining frame, and kills any show of abundance. If she wants to, she'll agree. If she can't, she'll make efforts to reconvene. If she didn't want, she'll send you some excuse and make a point NOT to reconvene.

Again, you rationalizing. I haven't gone back and forth for hours with any date by doing this. Matter of fact, I got more shoe-ins this way than by being "polite". Furthermore, it actually IS a time-saver, because simply by her behavior, you'll know if she wants to go or not.
It's just easier to ask when she's free imo. Both go to the same conclusion though.
Why ask us for advice, then, if you're so convinced?
