Don't put any girl on a pedestal. Gauge her interest, if she has low interest move on. Find girls with higher interest levels. Focus on them. Don't take her liking somebody else personally. All guys and girls have different tastes. It's normal, just move on.

If you are more successful drunk, that's a good sign you have too many social filters on when sober. You block out a lot of things you could say that would make you seem interesting. But since you filter out a lot of those things, you wind up with nothing left to say. Be Normal, goofy, whatever, but just be natural.

You're probably trying to hard and putting too much pressure on yourself. It gives off a sense of neediness. Work on the things that make you feel better as a person. If it means working out, getting new clothes, learning new skills, whatever. Once you feel worthy, women will feel you are worthy. Like somebody said, get to the point where you don't give a fuck. It works wonders.
