Date others. Meet others. Do what it takes to develop an abundance mindset so that when you're with the one you prefer, you're not desperate for her. Otherwise, you're going to be entirely clingy/needy and you're going to drive her away.

I once did exactly this - going on dates with my oneitis. Back then, she was the only girl I was seeing at the time and I didn't have much experience.

It was her who asked me out. Nonetheless, I totally fucked up. I didn't escalate because I feared going too far would destroy our relationship. Really, you need an abundance mentality. Get yourself some other options. You need to remove the pressure from yourself.
