I've made it a habit of making eye contact with women and holding it just a second longer than normal, until they glance away.

I was in line waiting at a kiosk when I saw a girl, and she turned. I caught her eye and was just gazing confidently, expecting her to turn away, but she never did. Being caught off guard, I actually broke eye contact first.

What's the meaning of this? I haven't come across girls that would actually hold eye contact so long.
