Agree with /u/JakeBergerOrg. Unless you're having some kind of amazing emoji banter and swapping voice messages on Whatsapp for a laugh, texting is pointless. Coming from a female, seal the deal (date) as quick as you can and she'll be less likely to flake.

I'm in that situation right now where there are two guys texting me. The first guy has been speaking to me over a week without us meeting and my interest in weaning just because text limits interaction. I won't go on a date with him likely. The second guy got my number only to get my calendar and within the hour confirmed he'd booked a comedy night next Sat and to simply bring ID.

I only converse on text to:

arrange logistics
ping her to keep me in the front of her brain

Anything more than that is a waste of time.

A question to ponder.. "Why do I need a girl to chase me on text?"
