I agree with Endoss but it's not over yet.

First of all, realize that you are feeling infatuation with this girl. Your brain is under the influence of various chemicals which makes it impossible to see her in an objective manner. She has smelly farts from time to time just like the rest of us. There is no "one" for you. Don't buy into the soul mate myth with any woman or you'll put her on a pedastal and ruin any sense of balance of investment in the relationship. A girl's investment in you should be equal to or greater than your investment in her. The one who is more willing to walk away has all the power in any relationship. Always be willing to walk away.

All that said, there's not much reason not to pursue this girl a little further. She isn't coming to your party, so invite other girls and have a great time with your friends. In the near future (at least a week or two), you can hit this girl up again and invite her to do something that you consider fun. Do you bowl? Play pool? Rock climb? Hike? Choose something active like that, (if you don't have active hobbies, pick some up) make plans to do it, and invite her along. She may accept or she may not.

If she does, cool beans. If not, that kinda sucks but oh well. There's around 3.5 billion other women out there, improve yourself and meet some of them. Remember, a woman does not want to be the exciting part of a man's life. A woman wants to be part of an exciting man's life.

Build it and they will come.
