That's the biggest mistake you've made that night.
Don't apologyze for kissing another girl, you're not her boyfriend and you shouldn't act like one. Don't be needy and submissive and don't act like she's the only girl in your sights (in fact, she shouldn't be at all). Next time just act normally and escalate on her again. Stop overthinking past interactions.
Sure, there's many ways to analize this stuff, but it'll do more harm than good.
