TLDR sometimes gaming involves a very challenging mix of social circle game, indirect game, and nonverbal game; alcohol may affect your ability to perform optimally; not drink alcohol when you are gaming in the club
So this story is about me having a rare chance encounter with one of the most beautiful women i have ever laid eyes on. she was a singer for a local jazz band and that night was an experience i will never forget. it was a night of beauty music friendship and soul.
The night started when i noticed an oddly curious couple making their entrance in my usual open mic comic club. one was the obvious comic artist. the other was this tall exotic beauty who is a mix of italian arabic and french moroccan. she had an airy atmosphere about her that almost made her seem like she floated about like she couldnt be bothered to touch the ground with her angelic feet. she was a stunning beauty that would be considered a 10-plus.
it turned out that i would only ever talk to her in that ever so brief moment of first impression interaction. the rest of the night would be an interesting mix of nonverbal game, indirect game, and social circle game. it was a challenging situation that i suddenly found myself in that would have intimidated the best of men.
i timed my approach when the beauty and her comic friend was leaving the club. i opened with a teasing comment about them writing an actual check to pay for their drinks. they were struggling artists who had alot of promise. then i made a brief comment on how the beauty was too busy on her instagram when she was supposed to be recording her friends standup set. it was a good first encounter. and i should have stopped drinking then.
on the way to her car i was able to continue the playful vibe that i started with. it was going well because i read the beautys body language and somehow sensed that she was excited about something. i asked what she did and the friend answered shes a singer. that caught me offguard because then i fully realized the challenge that was set before me. she wasnt just a goddess like beauty out having fun. she was an upcoming celebrity who is at the early stage of her career. i noted that the beauty was investing into the conversation when she invited me to her performance and even gave directions to her jazz club. i thought that was worth a third attempt to connect with her.
in the jazz club the situation unraveled way beyond my control. i bought another round of strong beer which i had enjoyed alone. this was a costly mistake. i should have established more social capital while waiting for the next encounter with the beauty. after finishing my beer i went over and said hi to a gentleman eating dinner at the bar. we had an enjoyable conversation about the jazz scene in portland. at this point the beauty makes her grand entrance. i ended my conversation with the gentleman and said hi to the beauty. at this point my state was in shambles. the interaction became awkward i probably looked like an excitable monkey. i had lost the playful and witty vibe that i had started with from the comedy club. at this point i should have established the strongest bond. i didn't because i had way too much alcohol at this point. i realized it was a failure when she went to socialize instead with her really attractive jazz friends some of whom were aggressively flirting with her. at that point i tried to see if i could establish some social capital by buying the band leader a drink. it was quickly established that I was not a musician.
my last attempt to emotionally connect with beauty was when I creepily stood next to her vip table. she was surrounded with her cool and attractive friends who didnt seem to mind that I was there. after what seemed to be awkwardly extended time I saw that she was getting tired of the flirty attention. i tapped her shoulder and asked for her facebook. i gave her my phone and hopefully she noticed my list of attractive friends. i then said her name. claire. we made eye contact when i said it back to her and i think she enjoyed that. i asked when she was gonna sing and when she was talking i literally was just watching her face as what she was saying was totally inaudible. at this point i nodded and went back to the bar, defeated. thankfully the other band introduced Claires band. when she was onstage it was a magical moment that i would never forget. unfortunately when she finished her performance that was when i also made my exit.
there were lots of lessons learned from that experience. no least was the fact that i was successful in navigating the social dynamics when i was clearly the outsider in the whole party. it was like crashing a wedding and i almost went home with the bride.
