Just a few weeks ago, i met this amazing girl i really liked. We hit it off almost immediately. Things were going well.

She mentioned she had a boyfriend, so naturally i backed off; in fact i got a little angry with her; because the way she acted, i could have sworn she was into me. I mean i got the whole works, the physical contact, the stares, the coy smiles - the lot.

Eventually she pulled away (probably a bit hurt), because i did, and while i picked myself up, and apologized to her for seemingly out of nowhere acting completely aloof, things never returned to that first week of knowing each other.

What hurts even more is, that while she says she has a BF, shes all over this other guy at my workplace (I'm a sailor, so all this is taking place on a ship) and it's fucking devastating to see her seemingly replace me like that.

I'm being a complete ass to her; and it guilt trips me immensely. I can't stand to be around either of them. The thing is, i don't know whether or not she is speaking the truth about this BF. I tried being on friendly terms with her. Trying to do stuff with her; play cards, work together - slowly easing into a steady friendship again.

But i couldn't keep doing it. Every other day we have to do the evening rounds together (to secure the ship) and she jokingly called them 'dates', to which i responded that they were the worst dates ever because nothing ever came of it. She then said: ''I'm not cheap, just so you know'' heartily laughing about it. I then said i should bring her flowers.

Which i sorta did as a joke today (made a origami one from paper). But the thing is, i was so fucking angry with her under the surface, that i just acted like a complete asshole.

/r/seduction, i need advice here. This isnt the first time something like this has happened. I know i pissed away any chance i had with this girl, but i want to use this as an opportunity to move forward and become stronger. But it hurts so bad i dont think i know how.

EDIT: A bit of an update for those of you who interested. Basically, she asked me about why i was being such an arse, and pretty much told her how i felt replaced and generally just ignored, and quite a bit angered by her general behavior. Before i said this i put a heavy disclaimer on it, saying that after having said this; i could probably not stay friends with her anymore. Too much water under the bridge.

She said that the reason she was wary about spending time with me was because i was being an ass. So we were kinda stuck in a weird loop, of me being an ass because of her seemingly being an ass to me.

Despite the use of some rather nasty words by me, and the fact i straight up accused her of screwing around with the other guy (not her BF), which turned out to be untrue, she was strangely enough, very adamant about maintaining a strong connection to me and a real desire about friendship.

The fucking weird part is, she was really genuine about the whole ordeal, which i didn't expect. I mean, i was king of the assholes, but apparently she values my company enough to the point of forgiving me.

Basically, i'm going to try for friendship with her, as i've come to terms with the state of things. I'm looking elsewhere anyway. She pretty cool as friend tho.
