Hello! As the title suggests, I am a 21 yo female with a full time job! My full time job however also involves off-the-clock hours dedicated to my field as well. This means, I have a very tiny social life. When I do get together with friends, they are women and they have SO's. I've had friends hook me up with people in the past, not fun, not good people.
Being that I am 21 I'm expected to party, be on campus, go to bars or pubs etc. Parties give me anxiety so I'd rather be comfortable somewhere else, campus life is difficult when you hold a full time job and go to school part time, bars and pubs are more relaxed but I'm not looking to get anxious and start an anxious alcohol binge (I'm also watching what I eat/drink)
I feel like I'm setting myself up for relationship failure by being this way but at the same time I have no desire to change.
Also every relationship I've been in I've been cheated on or left in some odd/rude manner.
Is it me? Should I do something to change? If so what do you suggest? I'm feeling very lonely and I thrive on human connection so this is a big deal to me.
Thanks in advance.
