Yesterday two of my buds and I went to an open movie night where you sit in a room with about 30-40 other people and you watch a movie (sort of cinema basically). I noticed this cute HB7.5 (in her thirties, I am in my twenties) at the beginning of the movie and she was all alone. Since the movie started I did not make a move but decided that when it ended I would approach her. This would be my first approach in a long time again so at the end of the movie I started getting nervous.
The movie was over and I looked over to where she sat but she had already left in a fast pace towards the door. As there were alot of people leaving I knew I had to be fast to still get to her. At this point I felt kinda weird as I felt I was following her for a minute already (couldn't talk yet because she was away for still a couple meters). Luckily I convinced myself that it was not weird and I was just interested in talking to a cute woman. She was walking really fast so I had to make a small run for it as she already was approaching her car. In this moment I vaguely remembered scenes of movies where a guy approaches a girl near her car and then continues to do weird things. Just what I needed right. But I already had a 'fuck it' attitude as I knew I had to do this for myself right now.
I was walking next to her and said 'Hey what a great movie right? Bit of action, bit of comedy. One of the better movies'. She looked at me and said 'Yeah it was fun. Well cya'. So I knew I had to make my intentions clear. It looked like she was stressing to get her door open by now and get into her car but whatever man, having basic conversation here. I told her 'Well hey this may sound strange but I saw you walking and I thought you were really cute looking, I had to come and say hi'. She replied 'Thanks, but I am going home now', I said bye and laughed a little walking away. I laughed because yes, I did it, but also because she looked at me with a 'what the fuck is happening right now' look. Maybe she just didnt feel like talking, maybe she really had to get home fast, maybe she doesn't like people as she was alone there. I don't know, I don't care.
After this you may think I felt bad but I did not feel bad. I felt happy and laughed! See guys, I am happy that I still did it. Even though I cringed a little after I approached I was extremely glad I actually did it! I knew I had taken another step towarsd being who I really want to be.
The time towards the actual approach was worse than the act itself.
GO OUT AND APPROACH!
