Like anything else, it's a factor, not a disqualification.

Probably more a a (logistics) problem is living with your parents.

If it comes up, "What do you do?", don't answer with "unemployed", answer with what steps you are taking to reach your goals. (Hey, you are taking steps to reach your goals, right? Move on that stuff, every day).

Being unemployed may give you more time to plan activities, and explore fun things to share. Use that time, stay off the internet, limit computer games. Come across as someone on the trail to success, not someone stuck in failure, and I think you'll be fine.

First of all, drop this notion of "value." It's not as helpful as you might think, because there is no such thing as an objective standard of "value," because different people value different things.

Some people care about money. Some don't. Some have ambition. Some don't.

The overall point is, set about building a life YOU want, that makes YOU happy. And you'll find people along the way that share your values.

I already do a lot of exciting things like hiking, camping, beach days, metal concerts (by myself) and all that fun stuff with mostly my parents, brothers and my best friend.

This is good.....

.... when I see a man with an attractive woman I ask myself "What does he have, that I don't have" and the answer is always "Yeah, other than his facial aesthetics and/or height, he probably has a good job".

Measuring yourself against others can easily leave you feeling lesser. The point is not that everyone is on the same scale, though. The point is that those people share values and fit into each others' lives. You aren't seeing her values, you're just looking at her exterior. You have no idea if she'd truly fit into your life.

I'm in this sub because my goal is to meet more women and my end goal is to enter into a healthy, sustainable relationship with an attractive woman.

I'm just going to say that the foundation for this sort of goal, is developing an ease at socializing with PEOPLE. Do that, and it's easier to build relationships with women, even ones you find attractive.

Different tack to other responses, though their advice is good too. There are two people in the seduction process. Honestly with some women, absolutely. Im 27 and live in an ambitious city (think NYC, DC, London), women DO judge men based on their career, education, and pretending that all value derives from inner game undermines the self-improvement aspect of this sub. Women want to see a man who is passionate about his career, has a strong sense of what he wants, and has a vision for his own future. Let me caveat this though... unemployment is fine if it fits into the larger structure of your life and your personal objectives/vision. For example, not unemployed, but planning a 4-month trip to europe to make the most of my time before a professional career. That's not a made up example, I did that and the best woman I dated was for 6 weeks up to me leaving the country. The point is you must have a vision of yourself and your life, and be able to explain how not having a job contributes to that vision. And honestly living at home is a turnoff, financial independence is HUGE, way bigger than being currently employed. Not saying you will fail, but you basically guarantee that women more than a year out of college will not be interested in you, so your target demographic must shift.

It really depends on the women. There is a video on YouTube where women say, they care about there own money but they are not bothered if the guy makes less than them.

However good looking looking guy is what they mean, so other values come into play

You should read the book "9 Ball" by RSD Jeffy. He talks in detail about starting pickup while he was unemployed and living in a garage in SF.

Nope. All depends on how you play it.

If you're confident and charming you could be banging beauties even if you're unemployed, if they ask just say I'm a bum ;). They'll laugh because they won't think it's true, and you already told them so what else is there to give?
