Japanese people (not just women) have a complex cultural attitude towards Americans. Some of it comes from the poor English teaching in Japan, all students study English but few are fluent to even a slight degree. So if you talk to women in English, they are likely to be hesitant since they do not want to embarrass themselves. And Americans aren't so attuned to Japanese cultural subtleties, there are many standardized social interactions, and if you do something unpredictable (by Japanese social norms) the Japanese person can freeze up and not know what to do.

Anyway, I suggest you seek out some direct advice from local English-speaking expats, who have gone through this before.

Bullshit I'm black and I lived in Japan for a while and it was the dark guys that got laid the most. With that said you still need to have high SMV no matter your race. (muscles, money, tall, style, etc)

Using race is such a fucking cop out. Stop it, and stop listening to people telling you that's the reason you are not having success.

The real reason you are not having success is your game and nothing else.

How was your game before you moved there?

Shit I first discovered game and started developing my game when I lived in Japan. I didn't even know about game tell I moved there. Once I got back states side my game took a nose dive. Maybe that is what is happening to you. You have to calibrate your game to the women you are pursing.

When you say "dark skinned" what exactly do you mean? Can you give a country and/or some famous person who we would recognise.

Some Japanese girls tend to go African Americans because of their looks and because they are American. They are also highly interested in Caucasians. Other looking people less so. Country of origin and prospects also matter. However, if you are reasonably fit and good looking and in a major city there will be someone into you if you try. The thing is to persevere and don't get disheartened or desperate and keep a positive atmosphere in spite of it.
