How to tell if you're in a relationship with a narcissist?

If it means giving more examples to help narrow down what to look out for, here's what my ex did:

-When we were out meeting with her family, I'd be as sociable as I could be, talk to them, be likable. She would still later be distant from me and tell me she wishes I was more sociable and the center of attention, even when her sisters outright told her I was fine and that they like me. I wasn't good enough for her and she'd give me the silent treatment for a few hours. This happened almost every single time we were meeting with her family.

-In conjunction with the last point, where I say "almost every single time." The times that it didn't happen were because I would hear "Ok, we're going to go meet with my family." So I would start drinking heavily right away because I wanted to be loose enough to be sociable enough to meet her standards. When I confided in her finally that I hate that I have to drink so much just to meet her standards, she instantly went straight into telling me I had a drinking problem and that's unattractive, and that I'm the problem.

-I took us to Iceland together. The total cost was $3500, but we mutually agreed she would only have to pay me back $650 because that was just one part of her plane ticket. So sure enough, she pays me back the $650, great. I begin taking flying lessons because I want to get into flying as a hobby. I also go to sell plasma to help offset the costs. I'm on the phone with her and I tell her that I'm taking flying lessons and that I'm selling plasma to help with costs. The first thing she says is "Wait wait wait, how much does that cost?" 'Uh about $350 per week, sometimes $280, it really depends.' "Ok, what happened to that $650 I gave you?" 'I already spent it on flying lessons.' "Ok, selling plasma is extremely desperate of you, I don't think you know what you're doing with your money, I want that money back..."

-I finally break up with her. What lead up to it was because I was at my wits end being unable to convey what I was feeling without being told I was at fault. Before I even leave the room, she's already on the phone with her ex boyfriend confiding with him. She runs a slander campaign against me on Facebook with typical 'My ex boyfriend was such a manipulative asshole, I'm glad it's over' memes and stuff. I block her on everything. Two weeks later she's at my doorstep telling me she's sorry for everything, and wants to get back together. She also admits to having rebound sex with her ex-boyfriend, who was engaged to someone else.

She's in college right now with the intention of being a marriage counselor.
