I'm a socially disabled guy in my 30s and lately guys here are just telling me "get your good career first, and fix yourself" and that's likely not happening, if we're realistic.

A guy with a degree of autism, ADD, and social anxiety (myself) shouldn't be compared to normal guys in his age group... I'm not normal, obviously. And then I'm "not believed" or suggested to "try self-help so you can get your good job" and nobody understands... it's still a disability, just an invisible one. It still has limitations. Yes, some folks laugh at this or toss insults around... not cool.

Is there really no way to go about romance/booty without being in an age-appropriate career? Is there no way anyone can see past the social disability? I've known some undesirables personally, who got women, and there's a common trope--the homeless drug addict, the starving artist--because there's some truth in it. I don't see why automatically I have to believe there's no way forward unless I wait indefinitely to get better. By that time it would be too late.
