I don't know if this is the right place to post this but you guys shoot straight and I could really use that right now. My bad for the wall of text

I'm currently in my final year of university at a really good school(one of the top 25 in the world). However throughout my time here I've had difficulties in one form or another which have repeatedly set me back. Was supposed to finish my degree in three years but it's looking likely that it will be six.

Last year in particular, I had some immigration issues and was forced to return to my country of origin for a year. In that time I worked full time and would also help my dad (who owns his own business) by coming up with marketing and expansion strategies which he did in fact use.

In that year off I managed to resolve my immigration issues and was able to successfully reapply to my school. However now that I'm here I've come to realize that I really have no motivation to be here.

Without trying to brag I'd consider myself fairly intelligent. I have an analytical mind that I love to put in work in practical situations. I also have a few business ideas of my own that I hopefully want to pursue in the future. However my program of study is highly theoretical and I can honestly say that the degree I'm pursuing won't confer upon me any tangible skills (chose this program 5 years ago when I first applied and clearly a change in my outlook has occurred)

At the moment I'm considering dropping out however I realize that not having a degree would be a significant handicap. Not to mention the disappointment to my parents. The truth is I just can't find the motivation in me to continue this. The longer I stay here, the more I feel I'm wasting my potential.

I just wanted to ask if there were any of you out here who have maybe gone through something similar and have any words of advice that could help me. I could really use the help.
