I never had a girlfriend am still a virgin at 20. I approach but never succeed, as the girls are uninterested or are taken.

I feel desperate and my approaches tend to creep out women, by approaching in inappropiate places or asking/flirting too soon. Or I may break the touch barrier too quickly. I just see the girl as a thing that me and another guy will compete for, and that she will go to him if I don't show interest.

How can I change myself?
