Met this girl a couple times before - know she had been dating a someone.

We matched on Bumble and I asked her out to grab a drink. She goes into how drinks sound fun but she just broke up with her bf and that it's probably too soon (been ~3 weeks according to mutual friends) but said let me know if you're cool being friends and add her on facebook. But "totally get it if I'm wasting your time."

I respond that I get it, been there. Said that she was someone I would like to get to know and that if she wanted to do something more low key down the road to let me know.

She proceeded to say thanks for understanding and to keep in touch and gave me her number (this has all been over Bumble).

Thoughts on what my next steps should be? Thoughts on how I could have handled it better? My instinct is to not do anything and lob another ask in 1-2 months to see if she wants to hang out.
