If you don't want to read this theres a tldr at the bottom.

I had my eye on this one girl that lived in my apartment building, but whenever I'd bump into her I was also in a rush or just with people so I never approached. Fast forward a year and a half and I finally get my shot. We happen to walking into each other at an intersection while coming home from different bars so I made my move, got her number, and secured a date for the following weekend.

We spend all week texting and eventually exchange social media info, but that's kind of when it started to go downhill in my head. She's a social media powerhouse, tens of thousands of followers across multiple platforms. Turns out she's a news reporter.

So the week rolls by and we meet in the lobby. My car was just hit and run twice so it looked great as I drove us to get taco's because everyone loves tacos. We quickly get a table and we're talking and the more I learn about her the more and more I just become intimidated.

Now this had never really happened to me before. I didn't know what to do it was the first time in my life my date was more successful and accomplished than me. I kind of just shut down, I was talking quietly, my posture changed. It was like this incredible combination of sexyness and intimidation.

We get back to the apartment building and find out we live on the same floor. We exchange awkward hugs and go our separate ways. I crack open a beer and sit on my couch stunned that I just blew it so hard.

Anyone else ever experience this? How'd you overcome it? I'm trying to get another shot next weekend.

TLDR:Went on a date with my neighbor. Got intimidated by her success and blew it
