Hi. I’m 28, have slept with 30/40ish girls but had trouble rebounding after a crushing 2.5yr relationship about 6 months ago.

My buddy recommended “the game” and I’ve read the first 100 pages of it and have been watching infield videos. Mostly of james Marshall since he’s very “low energy” and I tend to be pretty stoic. I can’t really see myself doing any magic/psych tricks like Neil Strauss and mystery.

My confidence since the break up was pretty much non existent. Most of my hook ups were in college and drunk encounters. I slept with 2 girls the month of the break up and I thought I was the man but didn’t get laid again until last month. I’m in New England. it’s cold and every girl hibernates so the only place to meet them is at bars. My friends are all engaged or in super serious relationships so most weekend nights I just lay low. Plus I feel strange going to my local bars alone where I might see groups of people I know. Anyone else go through that/ how do you get yourself to go out solo?

So onto my infield: 2 old coworkers called me Friday to go out in a small New England city. My buddy sees two girls about to play pool so he asks if we can play teams. They say sure and we start chatting about where they’re from and what not. They were visiting a friend in grad school. I do the Maury routine on blondie and I get her # after the game and eventually just walk away since there wasn’t much flirting going on and she kind of had a resting bitch face.

Later I see a table with 3 girls. I go and sit at their table and say “sorry I’m late” they looked confused but 2 laugh. Me "yeah I was kidnapped" brunette "oh really" me "yeah by the Russians." They all crack up. Me "they were asking about you" as I point to the hot red head. They thought it was funny and asked for my name and then my friend joined and started talking to one of the others.

Eventually we head to the dance floor where I'm goofy dancing with red head. She stops me and tells me I'm "so natural" I said ??? She just kept repeating how can I be so natural? I didn't quite understand what she was trying to say but it was kind of an ego booster. She then tells me she's married and points at her ring finger. (I never notice these things). I asked her "how long do you think you'll be married for" she laughed her ass off and said who knows. I suggested maybe we should stay in touch just in case. She then put her # in my phone. We proceeded to dirty dance (grinding/ hair pulling/ making out). She eventually takes her ring off and puts it in her pocket!! I look to my left and the first girl who's # I got was glaring at me sort of pissed and stormed out of the dancing area. This is where I start browning out after having drank a bunch. Eventually red head leaves with her friends who had to go home. I text blondie "hey redhead, it's hawk. Want to hang?" And text redhead "hey blondie. It's hawk. Want to hang" I followed up to redhead with "redhead*** WOW sorry " but No reply from either.

Clearly I was bit drunk at this point.

That was my night. Kind of anticlimactic but it was my first time using some lines I've heard as a routine on both these girls including the Maury one.

Any good routines any of you recommend ?

I need to work on drinking less and going out solo. I think the booze helps me gain confidence but it sometimes leads to embarrassment.

I'll never text blondie again but I added redhead on snap and sent her a pic of my Bloody Mary this morning with the word "red". She hasn't opened it yet but I kind of really want to see her again. Tips on that too? Kinda messed up, I know, but we really hit it off"
