Hi guys I've been part of the PUA community for a number of years with a quite a few successes and just as many failures (more failures tbh) I figured I'd share this article about fear because this is what's going to help me today hopefully some of you too.

Backstory - After doing a few years of game I managed to get into a two and a half year relationship where we were pretty much joined at the hip and did heaps of travelling together up and down Europe. I won't bore you with the details but as with nearly all relationships it came to an end, I wasn't too happy about it but I know I have to get on with my life, readjust and move on. So I figure I'll dive straight back into doing game, but for the first time in a long time I'm actually really apprehensive in going back out there doing day game and just speaking to random girls I've never met. Before I'd be so motivated in going out day game and see how I could improve and tweak my approach and get numbers etc but it just doesn't feel as natural anymore.

So I've put it down to this - I'm scared and my AA has come back with a full vengeance and I need to sort it. I'm going out day gaming today for the first time in God knows how many years and to be honest I don't really want to go but I'm doing it anyway. Besides I'll have company, one of my old wings he'll provide encouragement.

I've read about different things in psychology and dealing with fear and there's the a type of mental conditioning called systematic desensitization, where you deal with fear in baby steps. For example if you're scared of snakes (which you should be, they're creepy asf) you start off by holding a toy snake imagining it to be they real thing. Then after you graduate to just touching a small real snake for a a few seconds and then graduate to touching it for a minute or two then graduate to a bigger snake and rinse and repeat. By the end of it all your fear should be gone. That the idea anyway. I'll be using this general idea to help me out.

There's also the idea of flooding where you just do the thing you're scared of head first without thinking but I won't try that with game yet, not sure I can handle that right now.

On my approaches I'm going to start small, ask for the time, ask for directions, ask where's the nearest Starbucks is... what ever gets me talking so I get into a good state. When I have done enough of these I'll transition after the opener into conversation - ask questions, making assumptions about them (all positive), some teasing, find things in common etc. Then when that goes well I'll go for a close when I get a feel for it. But with all that being said I'm going to start small first and work my way up until I gather momentum. That it pretty much how I'll tackle my day today.

This post was a bit of a ramble but if anyone has any experience in getting back into game after a relationship I'd appreciate any suggestions to help things along game wise
