Clubs are a bit of a culture shock when you first go in. There's no promise you'll even like the music. If theres a line talk with the people in it. People don't know you are alone unless you make it obvious( which you will see). Take this first time as a time to enjoy the club more than the people.

Imagine a bomb goes off in a building, are you going to hit on the girl running down the flight of stairs or are you going to fucking run. If the environment feels like a bomb going off in your head. You will panic. You will run. If youn find that when you walk in you instead feel like that bad ass walking away from an explosion, use that momentum.

Most of this advice is from the very first time i went to a club.
