I feel like while interacting with women i always do something that i think is very stupid, which leads me to always assume the worst and feel like shit

The most recent example: out on a first date with a girl, i think it's going well, almost at the end she says (we live in different cities): 'you had to pay for your train ticket, i can ride the train for free, next time i'm definitely coming to your town' - her confirmation that it is goin well. at the end, we hug to say goodbye, she then sort of raises her hand, just to say 'bye' and for some weird reason i thought that she wanted another hug or something, went in for it, she was like 'huh?!' and i just gave her a kiss on the cheek. IMO really really awkward situation lol. since it's the very last interaction, i can't tell how she felt about it, and therefore i always go into panic mode in my mind, thinking that that situation ruined literally everything. she is very hard to read through texts as well, so in other words, i'll never know how she felt about it. i might feel better, or 'relieved' if she agrees to meet me again, but that's it.

So all this to say, how to stop feeling bad about myself in these situations, ON MY OWN? i can’t be dependent on her opinion to stop feeling like an idiot. I know that part of my problem is still the fact that i just get very little dates, therefore, maybe i'm putting to much weight/hoping to much from the few i that do have.. maybe with more dates i could think - ‘it’ll just be better next time’ - and not think about it more, but even then, i can’t be dependent on the number of dates to feel better either.

At least i figured out the problem (i’m dependent on something else), but am completely lost coming up with a solution, so please, how do i stop feeling like an idiot, without any external input/variable? and since this happens to me way to often, i’m really looking more for general advice, not specifically related to the example above.
