If you're in uni just talk to them like a person, explain that you tired hard in class (specific examples like that you never missed a lecture), explain what may have went wrong which let you fall short (maybe you were very very sick before an exam or something) and ask if there is any supplemental thing you can do you increase you're mark slightly.

See if there are any exams or work you’ve done that you can look over and see if the professor didn’t give you enough credit for. Like you can look at your answers and justify why you should get some extra credit for the answer you wrote. I was able to get few extra points this way and raised my grade to next one because it was close
