You are probably someone who thinks they can get laid through a chick's "neocortex" when you need to be trying to get laid through a girls "lymbic system". Look them both up, study them, figure out the lymbic system, and that will be a giant leap forward.
You're just being chatty and not flirting or getting to the point of why you are being chatty. You gotta get some flirts and escalations in there some way some how some where.
honestly, chicks don't want to chat about their basic info and play 20 questions all the time, they wanna do something fun. bring around a fun activity you two can do together, or better yet, after some chatting and flirting, invite her to a fun activity. The sky is the limit. Personally, I just got into skateboarding, and I live near the beach. this summer I plan on cruzing down the boardwalk on my skateboard with a little boombox playing merengue music and doing little dances as I cruise around chicks. Once I get chicks attention, ima straight up stop right next to em and ask if they wanna dance right there. If they do, cool, game on. If they dont, hey, theres plenty of chicks down the boardwalk and ima keep cruizin.

If all you are doing is asking factual questions and learning factual things about a girl she's gonna lose interest fast.

The purpose of questions is to draw out emotion. You find something she cares about and ask her about that. The goal is to find the right question to ask to get her talking about herself enthusiastically. If it's about a thing you can talk about enthusiastically too, and you're physically attractive to her... in my experience you've got at least a 1 in 3 shot at her choosing to sleep with you.
