Me, neither. Every single feminist I've know has wanted a "pussy pass" applied somewhere. The excuse is "leveling the playing field" or "making up for structural patriarchy."

OP - how many feminists do you know who actively oppose and work against the Selective Service (draft) registration exemption for women?

Can you quote me a published feminist who want women removed from the federal preferred contractors list for "Woman and Minority-Owned Businesses?"

Does anybody in the world of women's sports want men's and women's tennis, golf, or track and field combined?

It really is interesting that we have such different experiences with feminists. There are actually many things that feminism has done to benefit men, like changing the definition of rape to include men as victims, fighting for better paternal leave (instead of just maternal, I think in Sweden), and they usually support minority groups, including the men within them.

I could be wrong on this, but I believe the early women's rights movement actually helped blacks get the right to vote before trying to secure suffrage for women.

/u/gunsgermsandsteel, in my opinion, certain biological differences between men and women make it hard to have literally equal treatment between them. For example, I brought up the example of fighting, and a feminist told me she thinks it's fine to remove gender from the equation. She said that, if a scrawny man hits a big man, and the big one retaliates with the full force of his strength, that's kind of shitty and unfair, because the scrawny one isn't as much of a physical threat by a long shot. She believed in basing it on the relative strength of the two people to determine if it's okay for the bigger one to fight back in full force, and I have to say it sounds reasonable.

/u/fnordsnord, I see what you're saying, but I think we have different definitions of "pussy pass." The fact is, without any type of regulation, women would have no power in society, and neither would most minorities. Because of this, I think that in some situations, it is reasonable to take an extra step to ensure that disadvantaged folks have a fair shot, no?

Example: it's been shown that the types of traits that allow men to rise up in companies also tend to help them be liked more, whereas those same traits in women make them more disliked. Women are seen as bitchy when they exhibit the same traits that "alpha" men exhibit.

That's just one example, but I'd be interested in your thoughts on this.
