Because there's only so much you can do or control. She's recently out of a relationship and there's always an emotional turmoil after a break up. People in this situation can go from warm to cold in an instant and there's nothing you can do about it. They need some time to figure out exactly what they want so they can be in a position to go into another relationship.

With that said, relationships usually develop within a spirit of romance and friendship. The attraction seems to be there, but are you boyfriend material? I suspect you may have some difficulty with this. You may need to work on the friendship part.

Keep alert to one thing: it's ultimately not healthy to be hung up on someone who either isn't ready for you or doesn't want to be with you.

This could pretty much be my story right now. I had one of those moments too, and I fucked it up big time.

Here’s where I’m sure I fucked up and where I’m guessing your likely failing would be too: don’t ever become the chaser. Let her pursue you, even if it’s hard to hold back. She should be the one pushing to define the relationship, not you.

It is so much harder when you have the skills to get a woman into bed, the skills to give her amazing sex, and find that she is one of the rare ones you really like, but you are the one pursuing something deeper. Oneitis really is harder when you are more advanced.
