So I suck at night game. Love day game, but not night. I don’t have a wing and I don’t know how to open up groups. I go out tonight to change that. I see a cute girl in the bar with a group, she goes to the bathroom and I catch her casually as she’s walking by herself. I tell her she’s cute, play a guessing game for her career, complement her style, and eventually get her number when her roommate comes by and tells her they are leaving.

I noticed her roommate was harsh, putting his arm around her neck pretty aggressively when he told her this. I joked with her if that was her bf because who the fuck does that. Maybe misogyny is normal during night game. As I am putting my number in her phone, the guy comes back and grabs my phone, dude is drunk, and yells at me that she has a bf. He puts his arm around her neck and takes her away. Again, that’s messed up.

I notice she walks outside away from the group. I go up to her and ask her if everything is cool. Roommate comes and yells at me. I tell the dude to chill out. Girl also walks away, either she didn’t hear me or ignoring me.

I wasn’t going to keep trying. If there is one thing I’ve learned from game, it’s that a number really doesn’t mean anything. And I really wasn’t going to fight a drunk dude for a girls number that I just met. I left soon after.

This is how I imagine bars to be, and I am glad it lived up to my expectations.
