During the date or hang out or find out whether she is a fun, interesting person to be around.

You should get her to prove herself to you. That'll be the only way to make her really want you because we value what we put in effort for and proving herself to you is putting in effort.

By showing how fun you can be she might appreciate it and might want to hang out again if she has nothing better going on but that's just it, you're at the mercy of her discretion.

Just try to think about how you feel right now. You're worried about showing her a good time. Have you even considered whether the hang out will be fun for you because of her or have you just been setting your mind to just try your best to enjoy it regardless of what she does?

Its likely that it didn't even occur to you to wonder whether you'll have fun with her.

That's exactly how she will feel if you get her to work to impress you. She won't even care about her own fun, she'll only care about trying to impress you.

Easy. How do you find out whether she is a fun, interesting person to be around? You ask her certain things and get her to do things to prove it to you.

In short, qualification.

What's the craziest thing you've ever done?
What did you want to do when you were 10? Is that what you're doing now? Why/Why not?
Are you adventurous? What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done?
Are you spontaneous? What's the most spontaneous thing you've ever done?
How comfortable are you in uncomfortable situations?
What's your hidden talent?
What's something that usually surprises people about you?
What do you do for fun?
What's something you like that isn't a very well known thing?

Those are just the questions and this is where a lot of guys here make a mistake. Qualification isn't just a conversational thing. You can qualify her with her actions because how better to prove herself than to actually do what she talks about? So you can also...

Get her to do something crazy while out on the date.
Show you how cool the thing she does now is.
Get adventurous by trying something both of you have never done before.
Get spontaneous by doing that new thing right now.
Do something a little uncomfortable but fun like, I don't know, pretend to be rich and wanting to buy an expensive house as a date just so you can get free food and VIP treatment from the real estate company/broker. (I totally do this haha)
Get her to demonstrate her talent.
...........you get the point. I won't go down the whole list.

The key so that she keeps qualifying herself is to make sure you're constantly encouraging her to do so. So give her a lot of praise when she qualifies herself. I break it down here. Just ignore the contextual stuff because that's a comment I made responding to another post.
