So I'm seeing this girl whose been casually texting me, and it's pretty much just both of us talking about unimportant things unenthuiastically and only responding every couple hours and they last for days at a time sometimes.

I'm sure you already know why this isn't good so I just want to know how I can end these convos on a good note since you can't really go "But I've got to go to class now so I'll talk to you later" when you probably wouldn't have even sent another reply until long after that class.

Also wondering if simple check ups instead of this casual texting is any better. Something like "Hey! How was your day?" Then having a quick conversation before saying that you can't talk anymore, just to keep you on her mind.
