I got you fam. Huge on cologne as a younger guy. Picked up some knowledge along the way.

Lucky You by Liz Claiborne

Smells like grass and creeks and wood and flowers. Really preppy, really green, perfect for cool weather, ie spring. Don't ever wear this in heat though. It starts to smell like Pine Sol.

Mont Blanc Individuel

Think raspberries, chocolate, and musk. It's strong and lasts forever, so don't bathe in it. Great for cold weather, like winter. When it dries down it has one of the most comforting, pleasant scents you will ever encounter.

Versace Eros

Sour apple, with a bittersweet twist that makes it daring and party boy like. I warn you, this shit is so strong that if you spray it twice, you'll fucking die of inhalation abuse. So go easy.

CH Men, CH Men Prive

One girl described it as "the smell that lingers on the bed after you've fucked." To put it simply, this cologne literally smells like sex.

Both have scents of wood, leather, and booze. CH Men smells creamier, while CH Men Prive has a more airy scent.

If you like bikes, leather, and rock n roll this is your scent.

Prada L'homme

A bit more on the expensive side, but worth the price point. This one smells like a dreamy fabric softener with a touch of luxury and masculinity. This is probably the best work/office fragrance on the market. Mass appealing, non offensive. Wear to your job interview or when meeting the gf's parents.

Note the price point on these are incredibly HS friendly. No Tom Ford or Creed.

Anything but axe. When I was in high school, I’ll never forget that forsaken stench of axe in the boys locker room. I have Vietnam flashbacks when I smell axe to this day.

Bleu de channel. Kinda pricey but the eu de parfum is very decent.

Acqua di gio by Armani. A good clean scent that works for day or night.

If you are light skin/blonde/blue or green eyes etc., get something fresh and citrus-y or similar. If you are dark skinned/brown or black hair/brown eyes etc., get something sweet smelling or more musky etc.

Something very minimal and natural. She should have to get close to even detect it. Other men shouldn't smell it, unless you want their clocks.

Women can get away with having a lot of artificial fragrance that you smell her as she walks by.

Cologne should not be an aura, it's a "oh you actually smell pretty good" if she gets close.

What was said above is true: you really need to try fragrances for yourself, because what qualifies as a good cologne is totally subjective.

That being said, I'm a cologne junkie and can give a few suggestions that I personally like, and since you're in high school I'll give some budget suggestions as I'm assuming you don't have access to a ton of money and fragrances can get pricy.

Curve by Liz Claiborne: an oldie but goodie, you can't go wrong with this one. It's nothing mind blowing, but it's a very pleasant scent that's suitable for all occasions. Very versatile, agreeable scent.

Nautica Voyage: I think maybe the best bang for your buck fragrance on the market, I've been the recipient of a ridiculous amount of compliments as a result of this guy. Females seem to really dig it.

Perry Ellis Red: I saw someone mention Acqua di Gio, and as someone who owns both that and PE: Red, I can tell you I literally can't tell the difference between the two. ADG has better longevity, but Red is significantly cheaper.

All of these can be had for around $20 on Amazon and, imo, are all quality fragrances.

Armaf Tres Nuit is around $26 for a 100ml bottle and smells super fresh. its a good warm weather day time scent.

But I've delved heavily into fragrance and have tried over 100 different fragrances and the most important thing I can tell you is you wont always like what other people like. its better to try stuff out to see if you like it rather than just take peoples word for it.

Also. theres some fragrances youll hate at first, but youll try them again in the future and love them.

So yeah. try before you buy.

Also. Please know that if youre goofy and girls arent attracted to you without cologne, Having cologne wont make a difference. it will only ever enhance attraction and not really create it.

You should also put your budget btw.
