Look, I'm not sure if you read the whole post. I'm also making it clear now this is not an option I would ever take, even if I dangled the idea for a (misplaced) moment of black humor.
Let's take the main concept out of the equation for a moment and look at what I really mean.
The crux of the argument is the problem of straight men with social/cognitive difficulties, in an extremely imbalanced market. Let's be honest about the fact that women are MUCH more selective than men, the vast majority of the time.
Autistic individuals typically present with a range of deficits across social, interpersonal, even cognitive (learning disability) realms. Such guys, when they're not gifted enough to succeed academically or in the workplace, are basically left with no compensation for the core deficits.
What are such guys to do, basically? My belief is there is virtually no audience for guys like that. (I'm one of them, of course.)
Anyway, the whole idea is really "what to do about this." How could I frame the problem in a better light?
Should I delude myself into thinking I can find what I'm seeking, even though, by every conventional measure, it's not possible? Who would look past "no status/no money" and not even practical skill, as a guy in his 30s? I can't improve much, either.

The post was meant to be speculative and a bit of a whine, at the same time. It's more of the same schtick from me... "autistic guys have nothing to offer in a competitive market..." The conversation I had with that guy in the autism forums was real. I thought I would bring it up to talk about that, because it bothered me. I have seen other guys mention the same thing over there.
I don't see why you would be offended by this, it's just more of my idiotic complaining... "look at the lengths some guys go, because there's no entrance for them in the modern dating market"

I don't know if this is good judgment, but I was going to literally explain what I think has happened, apologize again, but I am not able to "keep up" with what you seem to expect. I could have tried going through this to figure out how to empathize in a way you can accept, and so on, but nothing I write is good enough anyway.
I think that is the only thing I can say at this point. Apparently half of everything I say is wrong. It seemed you were past my idiotic actions after that last exchange in PM, so I am confused by this new exchange here.
Getting into emotional stuff with someone I haven't met is not something I really do anymore (there is a back story behind this, and it's not pleasant. I learned not to trust anyone.)
