Met a girl a few months back, and we totally hit it off after establishing a friendly relationship. We've been intimate a couple times, but about a month ago she moved home and it's likely I wont see her for another 6-9 months (for reasons outside of seeing her, as well).

I keep in touch somewhat often over FB messenger and insta, but I'm really wary about coming off needy. This is needy behavior in itself, I'm aware, since I care tremendously about what she'll think of me. I do want to talk to her for my own enjoyment, but without actually following up with my presence, I don't know if reaching out will just drive her away.

We are NOT committed to each other. She doesn't owe me shit, nor I owe her. I don't have reservations about seeing other girls, but I'll be honest, I really like her. I'd still want to be her friend, so coming off as this creepy guy with nothing going on other than texting a girl thousands of miles away is the last thing I want. Are girls that cut-throat or am I making shit up?
