I've recently taken to typing short little descriptions or salient features that would remind me, but sometimes I forget to do that.
Most contact apps don't even allow you to sort contacts by date added. I had to download a separate app that does that, except it's not super reliable, because there is no time-related data encoded in most phone contacts, and the app has to use some other piece of data as a proxy that mostly coincides with how old the contact is, but doesn't always.
It's worse when I get their Instagram and follow them. I don't think Instagram sorts the profiles you follow by the one you've most recently followed (there are a a lot of features you'd think Instagram should have, and yet doesn't…)
One of the numbers I got last night was from somebody who isn't interested in dating and has a boyfriend, so we agreed we'd chill as friends. Not knowing which one is her is kinda worrisome, because I don't want to confuse her with somebody who I do intend to take on a date, and flirt with her and be that creepy guy who "said he wanted to be friends, but then got weird".
I also try to work something I remember about the girl into our conversations when I text them.
I'm sure this problem has occurred for many others. Any tips?
