Just be like "Damnnn, you just went hard that set, good work!" high five,with positive high energy and go do your own thing like it was the most casual normal thing in the world. Then followup another time. Let her simmer a bit. If she digged your energy it'll intrigue her a bit that you didnt try to continue on to flirt with her or pursue her. Since you'll be seeing her again at the gym its a good buildup. Going up to girls ANYWHERE isn't creepy, drop that mentality it'll only hold you back. You're giving yourself a way out/excuse subconciously.

Side note: Pay attention to her body language and reaction when you say that and high five her. If she seems into it and like she wants you to stick around and continue the conversation then just stay a bit longer. Go into your gym journey and passion for working out as well as hers.

meet at water fountain. ask about training tips. see if she wants a gym buddy. keep topics non-sexual.

Agreed. You can maybe tease and not be boring, but don’t overtly flirt with her at first. Social fist sexual last. Especially if you knows your going to see her again.
