So this weekend I went out to this beach party with 2 friends. We met up with another friend at the venue and she was sitting on a table with several other people I barely knew. We started walking around the place as it was fairly big and I was doing small warmup conversations with random people around the venue to get myself into a more social mood. The rest of the interactions I'm going to divide them into 2 groups because each had wildly different results: 1) Girls I interacted throughout the venue 2) girls I interacted that where at my table or arrived later

1) These were the weakest sets and it comes down to something that I have been struggling with lately and it's the belief that I'm interrupting girls or getting in their way. I started the conversations just pointing out things about the environment but as soon as I started the conversation I was rushing through it and was talking myself out of the conversation. One example: I talked to 2 girls who were on the beach staring at their phones, I asked them a couple of questions about each other, then before I knew it I was telling them I had to leave. This happened to about 5 interactions I had. The best one I had was a girl that walked next and joked about her weird glasses but after a while the same thing happened.

2) Weirdly enough the girls that were at my table I had no trouble talking to, maybe because I gave myself more permission because they were part of the table. These interactions were much better and much more relaxed. I talked and joked with almost all of the girls in the table and exchanged # with one of them to see if we could meet up later.

I need to work on overcoming this belief as it has been something that has been affecting my game for a while (I've posted this similar issue on another FR) any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

TLDR: Belief about interrupting girls is making me leave interactions too early.
