So to give a TL;DR about who I am.
Type A cerebral/personality, I like to analyze EVERYTHING.
I'm ~30, new in Ontario. I just got out of a 4 yr LTR and have been out of the 'game' basically just my confidence/style and swagger hasn't been practiced for a LOOOONG while now. I'm also brown and we get a shit ton of hate for our ethnicity as baseline/default level compared to other ethnicities (which is similar to all blacks being stereotyped as ghettos etc.) So even in general social circles you have to 'prove' yourself to guys around you before the girls find 'social proof' that you are fine to talk to and unlike others and then you have an 'in'.
Well I have been getting back into the swing of things for a recent while now. Maybe a week or 2, reading up on how to break the ice, make conversation, hold it, etc etc.
Day -2 :- Was in Montreal with a few friends, and started chatting with just 2 girls that day in the city. Got a good conversation going but nothing out of it they were both married/committed. Still fun to reach out and just start talking to strangers.
Day -1 :- Found a friend from reddit who's also into game (but WAYYY more seriously than I am.) He showed me some experimentation with the Indirect approach and we both tried it for a bit but it didn't really go anywhere and I found that I prefer to go straight to the point without beating around the bush (direct approaches.).
Day 0 (YESTERDAY) :- Coming back to Hamilton where I go to school. Cold approached 3 girls at the gym today. Not sure why but today my confidence was at an all time high. Maybe because of all of the studying/reading up I've been doing, plus also the fact that I KNOW that I have this in me, in fact I've done it so many times before. (I've been with 12-15 girls overall, 3 LTRs and EVERY single one of those save 1, was direct approach.) Got 1 number and 2 rejections but EVERY one of those interactions was so smooth. Like I was just in this calm relaxed state for most of it (maybe only 10-20% nervous if anything and that was only during the approach).
Day 0 (NIGHT) - Was my first night of clubbing here EVER. I have never been much of a club person so this was like a double triple whammy for me, but I was excited and nervous for the night. Never been clubbing in general, not my thing, never been to a club here, slightly older than the avg crowd maybe so unsure if people would care about that/judge me based on it. I started making conversation with a group of girls outside the club as soon as we got there, just to break the ice and let myself practice getting more social in general. Met a classmate there as well, chatted her and her friends up too. Got on the dance floor later, just enjoyed dancing to the music myself. Found a group of the girls in there that I had spoken to outside and started dancing with them. Basically I moved from only 1 known group of girls, to other unknowns and didn't get much action out of the random girls I was dancing with. I took a break in the middle of the night, regrouped with my buddies, and then went back in again later, by that time we had been out for a long while 4-5 hours total and at the club until like 1.30 am. (I also like to have a proper schedule and format so I generally try to get to bed on 11PM and have found it much better for overall general productivity.)
Goods/Confidence Boosters :-
-3 Cold direct approaches, one information exchange, overall SUPER SMOOOTH process. Definitely improved since heck even a few days ago let alone last week or last year.
-Spoke to a LOT of people and girls (was concentrating on female interaction more though of course.)
-Made some new guy friends to chill/hang out with!
-Put myself out there, tried some new things! Planning to learn from these experiences!
-Experimented with a totally different clubbing culture!
Bads/Rejections/Ego hurt :-
-Got little to no attention/interaction at my night game. Didn't seem like the girls were too comfy around me (and me around them but I will explain the reason for this later at the end.)
-Maybe went into strong on trying to get one of the girls I had spoken to, to dance 1-on-1, she felt uncomfortable and walked off. It only hurts to think that I might have affected her night negatively possibly because of that interaction. She was super cool about everything besides that!
-Not even sure because it was so loud but I think a girl tried to insult me or something and said she/her group weren't interested in dancing etc. Didn't let it affect me just bid them a good evening and carried on elsewhere.
-I think someone actually tried to deliberately hit/start something with me lol. Like I got shoved pretty hard by what looked like nothing but a bunch of guys. Obviously didn't bother and just carried on.
BIGGEST MISTAKE :-
Remember I said I was a super cerebral person? Always thinking about things, I like to stay in control of myself.
Since this was my first night out with my friends here and they don't know me well they didn't know my tolerance or my reaction to being high. They were all super keen on smoking and drinking a lot during pregaming and forced me to have bigger tokes than I would have wanted/preferred. Generally I always hold my ground but I didn't want to be rude/standoffish the first outing so I ended up smoking too much. BAD BAAAAAAAD MISTAKE. I have zero tolerance for most drugs. The weed they made me smoke just tripped me out so hard that my entire night was a fucking blur. I get anxiety and paranoia easy on weed if it's more than the smallest amount and it wasn't a smart idea AT ALL to smoke my first night out.
But. You live and you learn. I know for SURE that the next time I go I will be sober (as is ALWAYS recommended) and I will just use my natural day game confidence/charisma to carry me through the night.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
