For tinder to work, 3 things need to happen.

  1. You need to be hot. Notice I didnt say "attractive". I said hot. This is because attraction is based on many factors other than looks, which include things that we cant gather from a phone app. I'm sure you all have seen the experiment where someone made a fake profile as a hot dude and was swarmed with matches.

Now, it's not impossible to be hot, in fact its very doable. Get a strict workout regime and eat clean, and be able to have a few pictures that show off your muscles. (Tight shirt or shirtless works just dont be douchey about it).

  1. You need to live in a well populated area. This is obvious. In order to increase your chances of a match you need more potential suitors.

  2. You need to have incredible patience. I follow the first two rules (be hot, and I live in a very populated city) but i still suck at tinder because the way girls respond is just headache-inducing.

Now I still have occasionally ran into some one night stands that ranged from regrettable to fun, but overall was any of it worth the trouble? Not at all. You have to understand that tinder exists for girls to give themselves a mental boost in confidence. They like seeing matches and they like to show their friends matches. But meeting up with random guys? In today's culture girls are at a strict disadvantage in terms of safety, because let's face it you never know what kind of guys out there are creeps or not.

So what this means is you're gonna get a ton of matches that dont talk to you or give you the "Haha nice" responses. I shouldn't have to tell you that if a girl wants something, she'll try and get it, and theres very little you can do on a phone app to try and change her mind.

In conclusion: Those who can make tinder work, usually don't even need to use the app in the first place. Go out in the real world and use your social skills and you will benefit in the long run.
