Over the weekend I got rejected for a second date because there wasn't a "spark" from the first one. I was beating myself over the fact that I never moved in for a kiss or put my hand on the small of her back as we walked back to our cars.

Then last night I had a realization... this was the first date that I had been on that I had minimal alcohol and yet I was still pretty confident and I wasn't intimated by my date's looks. This was the first time I could say I was pretty damn relaxed. On my other dates I'd been pretty nervous, but not this one. So I'm counting this one as a win.

I might not have gotten the girl this time, but I'm in a better position that I was a few months ago.

So gents, remember to always count the small victories.
