It's straight out of a textbook. She wants what she can't have.
The thing is I feel she is too emotionally immature, so I'm pretty sure this is just her feeling uncomfortable with me not chasing her. My guess is that if I start acting normal again, she will feel that I'm still into her, and then cool down.
I was pretty open about my intentions, I like her and I don't want a friendship which she suggested. I told her I was gonna back off and let her figure her stuff out and that she could reach out if she changed her mind. I need her to be somewhat vulnerable back if she wants to meet me again, not texting like we're pals.
I'm not sure if I'm being too harsh, but my rule is to not reply unless she's asking a question, or opens up. Anything else is messing with my feelings and I can't have it. My other option is to, again, open up saying I can't have this type of relationship - casual friendship that is.
Not sure if this is enough info, but am I handling it ok? Would you do it any differently?
