Empathy is the understanding of emotions that one feels in a certain situation.

Sympathy is feeling the same emotion as the person who’s also feeling that emotion

In order to develop a strong understanding for game, you need to become more empathetic. If a girl wants to go home with you but her friends are there in the same venue, you must understand the situation and adjust to solve the problem.

Having sympathy would mean that you express the same emotion that the girl is feeling. Doing that cannot help you in that situation because nothing is being solved.

If you see someone vomiting on the side of the boat, would you go over there and start vomiting with them? Or would you be understanding of the problem and try to fix it.

There are way too many guys who can not grasp this concept. It is good to feel emotions. It’s also good to be able to express genuine emotions to a girl. BUT it is not good to have just your emotions be the forefront of how you handle your problems.

In game the term is called calibration. Understanding what the girl is feeling at any given time and learning to handle certain obstacles. If a girl is feeling awkward when you approach. It is better to understand and help her through the awkward process rather than to feel awkward yourself and not move anything forward.

Please men know the difference between those two. That is what separates a man from a boy. And can easily boost your game if you are empathetic, or drastically hinder your game if you’re always sympathetic.
