Let's face it, picking up girls may be sometimes a huge challenge, now, could you imagine trying to do it with a girl that cannot speak the same language? Now...even worse, you must do it in a language that is NOT YOUR MOTHER TONGUE, well here I will give you a few suggestions:

1- Just because you speak slower it doesn't mean the situation will improve, some people actually pretend to not know english because they are shy or ashame to even try to speak but trying to have a full conversation speaking slowly is not your best bet. However, you are very lucky that nowadays we have technology and no, I do not mean you will use the translator at that moment, actually my advice is to get her number / instagram / whatsapp whatever, as fast as you can and then continue texting. Here is better because she will feel more confident, and both of you can use a translator, this is way better than 30 min trying to just say your name.

2- Forget any kind of super deep talk, keep it easy, she may feel interest in you but it can be super awkward and she doesn't want to feel awkward, so keep everything simple, specially once you get the date, you can show your photos and even use the translator, at this moment it should be normal for both of you to use the translator because of previously texting each other.

3- Sometimes body language is way better than anything else, so do not hesitate to communicate using body language, and actually you can use this as a way to keep everything in a good and funny vibe.

Most people will tell you to learn the language and other kind of advice that is super useful, but let's face it, sometimes you are in front of the girl and you cannot wait just 2-3 years to learn a new language, and it could be even an interesting experience trying to learn from each other.

And my final advice, you must have a lot of patience, this is key, if you get mad or desperate you already lose, so try to enjoy, and have fun!
