Earlier this year I deleted all my social media because it felt to superficialize my life, and the constant comparison drove me mad. Then I drove a truck cross country for a few months this year and feel my social skills collapsed. That being said, I generally do pretty well. I did have a tinder while traveling and would at the start have quite a few matches (probably the first time I’ve reached over 100), I came back home and cute girls would announce to me I was ‘very handsome’ in the middle of a restaurant.
A girl I accidentally met from a friend, she literally put her number in my phone and sent herself a message. I was out of town for a while but when I came back I hit her up and she seemed hesitant. I had my buddy help me text and she agreed to a date later that went really well, we kissed, had a blast, connected... I feel very confident in person. She even texted me the next morning thanking me for the night before.
But as the week went on and we weren’t able to see each other again, my texting blunders must have taken over because she seems to have lost interest. It reminds of the countless good matches who originally showed interest but as soon as I try to meet up they ghosted out.
Idk how but it seems my friends just know how to text and I don’t. I generally don’t like texting for any other reason than you are much too far away to be able to see each other or to organize a meet up. I guess I’m a bit old fashioned that way, but I can admit that I think I’m missing something and could use some help.
Edit: she just texted me back but I want to know what you guys think before I start talking to her again.
