Nah man, if you dont want to hook up with her, dont. Period. Full Stop. If you're thinking about doing something you dont want to do just for appearances, you already have the wrong mindset. Keep her as a friend, and I'm sure you'll have opportunities to meet her friends and find luck there.

If you wanna be friends with her just be friends with her, especially if you enjoy hanging out with her.

Having boundaries is not weak.

The real problem here is that you're living your life for her approval.

It's only a weak move if it's not genuine. If you want her in your life but legit don't want more than friendship, then there's nothing wrong with it.

But if you go back on it, get needy, or start persuing her later, you will look weak.

Unless she's super needy or infatuated with you, friendzoning her will likely kill off her non-platonic interest, outside of a random night where she's drunk and horny.

So, so long as you understand that and don't undermine yourself, do you. That being said, the best way to do this is to not tell her directly that you're friendzoning her unless/until she asks, just treat her like a friend.

Also ask yourself what you really want out of this girl. It sounds like you're still physically attracted to her, but her personality turns you off. I'd revisit those red flags dude and check yourself.
