Like the other guy said, offer drinks and bathroom. Hopefully you have something decent to drink. Pour a drink and chit chat for a bit in the kitchen. Find a natural end to that conversation, and change gears to talking about the movie.

On the off chance she declines the drink, pour yourself one anyway and ask if she’s sure she doesn’t want one. If she still says no, brush it off and move to the movie.

Have two movies already pre-planned and already set up in the living room, some sort of recent drama-comedy and a horror movie. Ask her which one she wants to watch first. Mention the lighthearted one first, give her the one sentence tag line followed by, “or if you can handle scary movies, we can watch [insert horror movie here].” Move to the living room couch and fire up the movie she chose. If she took the drink, ask her to grab the bottle as you’re setting up the movie before she sits down.
