I had my first semi-decent pickup last night in a quieter area of a club. I approached two girls, and my target smiled and pulled me by my hand to sit next to her (definitely IOI, right?)

I think opening was okay but I fluffed too much/too long. Instead of moving on to palm reading/ESP I just kept asking like what do you do for fun, what are your weird talents etc. I could see that over time she was getting more and more disinterested, and when it was time for me to go (according to my friends over 10 minutes later - i was tipsy so it didnt feel that long) I tapped my lips and asked "good night kiss?", then she put her cheek out, so I said "try again", she put her cheek out, that repeated twice more until I kissed her cheek and left :'(

questions:

I sat on her side, put my arm around the couch and was leaning more towards her. Is that good body language for a pickup thats to my side? Should I have slid my hand down around her shoulders, or kept my upper body angled a bit further away from her?

How many minutes into a typical PU should I start touching her/escalating ? What's a good way to escalate? If I could do it again I think I woulda said "since its your birthday I'll give you a present and read your palm" instead of the fluff part.

What is a realistic goal from an average bar pickup? Number close? Full kiss? Or is a peck on the cheek considered a "win"?
