I met a girl at work. I was infatuated with her. Smart, seductive and beautiful.

We got talking... she opens up to me and I realise she is so disappointed with her lot in life, non moreso than her current 'boyfriend' who is such a burden to her, nevermind lightyears away from her on an emotional & intellectual level. She never said one positive thing about him.

She then changes job and invites me to join. I interview & get the offer - but I'm not going to take it; I'm using it to leverage my current company ( to great effect :) ) but she still thinks I'm due to start working there soon...

I invited her to go out sometime; a week night - casual. She replies to accept (with multiple exclaimation marks.) On the day, she texts me back to say shes unavailable; can we rearrange? I say yes & propose to meet the night after.

She doesn't reply.

It's been 2 days and she hasnt confirmed the meet. I text her back to say I have a change of plans - cold and clear cut. I thought I'd cancel before she does. She says she 'forgot' to reply and shes available 'anytime.' I havent replied yet, but I'm still hopeful.

Am I playing this too close to the wind; is this too high risk? I cancelled the meet I wanted since I laid eyes on her. There is definite chemistry. Shes basically begged me to get the job to work with her and we clicked on so many levels for the short time we worked together. I aimed to come across as in control, not letting her dictate the schedule and playing somewhat hard-to-get.

She will find out tomorrow I recinded the offer from the company she now works for. Since I havent replied to her, I guess that will be her avenue to initiate a conversation about why I didnt move with her?

Should I aim to get a weekend date from her?
